Hi there. I'm Juan Castelli. I'm 25, I live in Punta Ballena, Maldonado, Uruguay. I've worked as a software developer since I was 18. When a massive building complex threatened an environmental area in my neighborhood something switched in me and now I spend my time inspecting, researching and reporting illegal buildings, protecting the beach and other fragile areas, and fighting injustice in general, wherever I possibly can by using the law on my side. I started out in Engineering, but I'm finishing my second year of Law now — the tools I actually needed to protect that which must be protected.

So I have some pretty terrible ADHD. That means when something interests me I can get really into it. And when it doesn't it means it's impossible. Not hard, impossible. I didn't really like studying Engineering which is why I switched schools twice and majors thrice as I constantly found the content boring.

I speak Spanish and English. I like hiking, cycling, going to the gym, researching, reading, writing. I most closely consider myself a Social Democrat, looking up to the Nordic countries as good (certainly not perfect) models of how a society should work to maximize happiness and minimize suffering. I'm a happy and proud atheist.
